Why we exist

An eviction on your record makes apartment hunting in Texas hard. At a lot of properties, automated screening software flags the filing and rejects the application before a person ever looks at it. Renters burn $50 to $85 a pop in application fees at properties that were never going to approve them. And the "eviction friendly" apartment lists that show up on Google are often outdated, unverified, or flat out wrong.

Part of our day goes to keeping our property notes current across Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Austin, and San Antonio, and we may contact leasing offices and property managers along the way. That's how we learn which properties work with an eviction under 2 years old and which ones want the balance paid first. It tells us which management companies use SafeRent Solutions or RealPage, and who's open to an eviction that was filed and then dismissed, with no extra conditions.

Free to you, paid by the property

You don't pay us anything. The property pays a referral commission when you sign a lease, and that's the only way we make money. So we want the same thing you do: you, housed.

• How your odds of approval can change with the age of the eviction, a paid balance, or a dismissal

• How Texas SB 38 (in effect since January 1, 2026) changed the eviction process and what it means for renters with new filings

We don't guarantee approval, and anyone who promises that isn't being honest. We don't sell your information, and we never ask for your Social Security number or date of birth. We're not attorneys, so we don't give legal advice. You won't get judged or lectured about the eviction here either. And we won't push you into a place that isn't the right fit for your situation just to earn a commission faster.
