# Eviction on Your Record? Fort Worth and Tarrant County Apartments Worth a Look

Fort Worth is Tarrant County's seat, and edges of the city spill over into Denton, Johnson, Parker and Wise. Evictions get filed in the justice of the peace precinct where the apartment sits, and Tarrant County alone has eight of them. Wherever yours was filed, it can turn up when a landlord runs your background check. From there, each landlord's own rules decide how much weight it gets.

We keep notes on those rules for you around Fort Worth, so you aren't guessing which leasing offices to try. The free search form below is where to start.

- What Fort Worth properties have told us lately about evictions
- Corridors where properties review each file: Haltom City, North Richland Hills, Watauga, Benbrook, Saginaw
- What the big management companies that run properties across DFW tend to approve

## Why Fort Worth Often Has More Second Chance Options Than Dallas

We’re licensed Texas real estate agents. Our team has 5+ combined years placing renters with evictions across Fort Worth and the Tarrant County suburbs around it.

Most of the big DFW management companies run properties here too. The difference is the mix. From what we see, a bigger share of Fort Worth’s apartments are Class B garden style and mid rise properties. And more of them are run by independent operators. So if a Dallas Greystar property denied you, you’ll often still have options at independent Class B properties in Haltom City, Saginaw, and Benbrook.

Still, screening works the same way across DFW. Say a big management company already ran your record through SafeRent Solutions or another screening service in Dallas or Arlington. They’ll likely deny you in Fort Worth too. Smaller local landlords are how you get around that.

## Which Fort Worth Corridors Are Most Open to Renters With Evictions?

### Haltom City

Haltom City is packed with midrange and Class B garden style properties. Many are run independently and do their own screening instead of relying on big screening companies like SafeRent Solutions. We’ve seen older evictions, paid balances, and sometimes even unpaid ones approved here.

### North Richland Hills / Watauga

We’ve found that most properties in NRH and Watauga are midrange, and many local management offices make their own calls. It’s a good fit if your eviction is 2+ years old and paid, especially at garden style communities along Rufe Snow Drive and Boulevard 26.

### Benbrook / Southwest Fort Worth

Head southwest for low rise complexes. Benbrook and southwest Fort Worth have plenty of them where a manager reads your full rental history before deciding.

### Saginaw / White Settlement (Northwest)

This side of the metro has older properties and independent landlords. Many of them look up [Tarrant County justice of the peace records](https://www.tarrantcountytx.gov/en/justice-of-the-peace-courts/justice-5/civil-cases/case-status.html) themselves instead of leaning on automated screening. It’s your best bet in the Fort Worth area if you still owe a balance.

### Keller / Roanoke (the tighter tier)

The Class A properties in Keller and Roanoke tend to run stricter screening. Evictions over 3 years old with a paid balance have gotten approved here when strong income and rental history backed them up.

## How the Big Management Companies Screen in Fort Worth

- **Greystar**: each property makes its own call, and several in Fort Worth are flexible
- **RPM Living**: a mixed bag in Fort Worth, but individual review is common
- **Willow Bridge Property Company**: some of its Fort Worth properties look at each file themselves
- **Cortland**: usually strict, and often screens through SafeRent
- **MAA / Camden**: usually want the eviction 2+ years old and the balance paid
- **Independent landlords**: where most of our Fort Worth approvals come from

## How Much Does It Cost to Move In With an Eviction?

Say your Fort Worth apartment is $1,500 a month and your eviction is recent. That’s close to the average Fort Worth rent of about $1,463 a month (RentCafe, September 2026). Here’s what to budget:

- Application fee: $50 to $85
- Risk fee: usually $150 to $500 in our placements
- Security deposit: we plan for one to two months’ rent with a recent eviction ($1,500 to $3,000). Yours may be lower.
- First month’s rent + admin: $1,500 + $150
- Guarantor (if used): about one month’s rent ($1,500)

All in, plan to bring $3,350 to $6,735 to move in with a recent eviction in Fort Worth. Paid or dismissed? You’ll land at the lower end. We’ve found deposits often run slightly lower at independently managed communities in the Near Southside. The bigger complexes in the Alliance corridor or the Cultural District, the ones run by large management companies, tend to charge more.

## How We Find Fort Worth Renters a Place

Fort Worth has the same big management companies as the rest of DFW. So step one is figuring out where you stand with each of them. Has a Greystar, RPM, or Cortland property anywhere in the metroplex already denied you? If so, we’ll usually skip that company’s other properties. Then we go straight to the independents.

Next, we go through our notes on what Fort Worth properties have told us lately about their policies. We’ve noticed they change a little less often here than in Dallas or Austin, though the big companies still update theirs regularly. We cover every Tarrant County corridor, from Haltom City and NRH in the northeast to Benbrook in the southwest and Crowley to the south.

Ready to see which Fort Worth properties may work with your eviction? Fill out the form above. We usually reply during weekday business hours, often with a question or two about your file.

## Questions About Fort Worth

Straight answers, no legal fluff. Our licensed Texas agents regularly place renters with evictions.

### Is Fort Worth easier for renters with evictions than Dallas?

Usually, yes. We’ve noticed a bigger share of Fort Worth’s apartments are Class B and midrange, and fewer are Class A luxury. Several independent landlords based in Fort Worth read your full file instead of leaning on automated screening. Suburbs like Haltom City, NRH, and Benbrook are especially flexible for renters with eviction records.

### Which Fort Worth management companies are most eviction friendly?

The specific property matters more than the company name on the sign. Some Greystar Fort Worth properties we work with review eviction cases one at a time, and others deny automatically. RPM Living and Willow Bridge read each file at some Fort Worth locations too. Cortland and Camden? Those usually run strict automated screening through SafeRent Solutions or a similar platform.

### Do the big DFW management companies share screening data across Fort Worth?

From what we’ve seen, yes. Greystar, MAA, RPM, Cortland, and Camden usually share screening data across all their properties. If their Dallas property denies you, their Fort Worth property will likely say the same. That’s why we lean on smaller local landlords in Fort Worth.

### Where in Fort Worth can I look if I still owe on my eviction?

Haltom City and the older properties in Saginaw and White Settlement are your best bets. The Near Southside has some options too.

### Which Fort Worth corridors approve evictions most often?

In our 2026 placements, Haltom City, North Richland Hills, and Benbrook have had the steadiest supply of properties that review each file. The Cultural District and downtown Class A luxury are still the toughest. So we go after the flexible corridors first, and we pass along the latest each property has told us before you apply.
